Empowering Through Knowledge and Culture
At Suplih International, we believe that education and culture are the heart of human progress. Our mission is to create opportunities for learning, growth, and connection among Haitians everywhere—both in Haiti and abroad. We work to ensure that no matter where you live, your roots, language, and heritage remain a source of pride and strength.
What Does “Diaspora” Mean—and Why It Matters
The word “diaspora” refers to people who have moved away from their homeland but continue to share a common identity, culture, or connection.
For Haitians, the Haitian diaspora includes those living in countries such as the United States, Canada, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic—people who still carry Haiti in their hearts and traditions, even while building lives in new places.
At Suplih International, we see the Haitian diaspora as a powerful bridge—linking communities across borders through shared knowledge, culture, and collaboration. Our Department of Education and Culture helps strengthen this connection by promoting learning opportunities that celebrate Haitian identity and empower future generations.
Our Guiding Belief...
“Konesans ak kilti, se fòs kominote a.”
Knowledge and Culture are the Strength of the Community.
Department of Education and Culture
The Department of Education and Culture is the foundation of our mission. It promotes education and cultural awareness as essential tools for personal, social, and community development.
Through programs and partnerships, we aim to equip individuals with knowledge, preserve our cultural heritage, and create spaces for growth—wherever Haitians live.
What We Do
-
Organize International Congresses – Hosting global events that bring together educators, researchers, and community leaders to share knowledge and best practices.
-
Run Children’s Pilot Programs – Initiatives like “La Ronde des Enfants” in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, help kids learn civic values, environmental awareness, and creativity through hands-on activities.
-
Support Literacy and Integration – Helping Haitian immigrants adjust to new countries through language learning, education about their host nation, and access to study and job opportunities.
-
Preserve Cultural Roots – Offering Creole language classes for children in the diaspora to help them stay connected to their identity and heritage.
-
Promote Haitian Craftsmanship – Celebrating Haitian artisans and traditional cultural expressions as vital parts of national pride.
At Suplih International, this belief guides every project we create. By investing in education and celebrating our culture, we are building a stronger, more connected future for the Haitian people, both at home and around the world.
