Strengthening Agriculture, Protecting the Environment
Department of Agriculture and Environment
We believe that caring for the land means caring for the people who inhabit it.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is dedicated to strengthening Haiti's agricultural sector, protecting the environment, and building sustainable communities that can thrive for generations to come.
We work directly with local farmers, youth groups, and community leaders across Haiti to create a more food-secure, environmentally aware, and economically independent nation.

Our Vision
Our work is guided by three core goals:
-
🌱 Strengthen the Haitian Agricultural Sector – Support farmers and agricultural workers through training, resources, and sustainable development programs.
-
🍎 Reduce Food Dependency – Empower communities to grow and rely on local products, reducing reliance on imports and external aid.
-
💚 Combat Poverty and Misery – Create new pathways for economic stability through agriculture, education, and environmental stewardship
We believe that with knowledge, teamwork, and care for the earth, Haiti can become a model for green development and self-sufficiency.
Projects
Youth Volunteers for Environmental Protection
The Youth Volunteers for Environmental Protection project inspires and equips young people to become leaders in sustainability. Through hands-on involvement in eco-school programs, community training, and awareness campaigns, youth volunteers play an active role in reforestation, waste reduction, and environmental education across all 10 departments of Haiti.
This initiative helps foster a generation that not only values Haiti's natural beauty but also takes responsibility for protecting it. By connecting education with action, we're creating a movement for a cleaner, greener, and more resilient future.

Agricultural Input Store
Access to the right tools and resources can make all the difference for farmers and families who depend on the land. Our Agricultural Input Store is designed to empower local farmers by providing affordable access to high-quality seeds, fertilizers, gardening tools, and equipment. These essential resources help improve crop yields, reduce waste, and strengthen Haiti's local food systems.
Through this project, Suplih International aims to promote agricultural independence and give every farmer the opportunity to build a sustainable livelihood while contributing to Haiti's food security.
